About Us

We are Scott and Ben, the owners of Urbane Home and Lifestyle. In 2011, we returned from a trip and realized we were doing most of our shopping while we were in larger cities, rather than in our own hometown. That day, the idea for Urbane was born.

Scott’s professional experience, with over a decade in wholesale product sales, led us to bring an interesting mix of products to our own shop here in Oklahoma City. We opened our first location in the Western Avenue District in 2012.

In 2014, the business had grown and Urbane needed more space. We relocated to our current location at 1015 N Broadway Avenue in the Automobile Alley District. At Urbane, you will find an eclectic mix of contemporary furniture, lighting, rugs and home décor. In addition, we also carry dinnerware, barware, home fragrance, gifts, books, jewelry, bath towels and more- basically everything you might need for your home. Our motto is “considered items for a considered lifestyle”, meaning that we strive to carry well-made products that we know are of lasting quality and are interesting.

We are excited to share that in late summer 2023, we will move to an even larger space just a block away at 905 N Broadway Avenue. In our new space, we plan to offer a larger selection of furniture, host special events and offer live plants and arrangements.

We love Oklahoma and Oklahoma City and are mindful of serving our community. We partner with non-profits such as Allied Arts and periodically host art openings for local artists. Scott is a past board member for Automobile Alley Association, Inc. and Ben currently serves on the board. Ben also serves on the board of the Oklahoma State Parks Foundation, which raises funding to support Oklahoma’s state park system.

When you visit us in Auto Alley, be sure to also visit our awesome neighbors! Your patronage of our locally owned business and others like it ensures that your hard-earned dollars stay in our community and support vibrant districts that make Oklahoma City such a wonderful place to live.

Here are a few of our fave neighbors. You can find a complete list of business, bars and restaurants on the Automobile Alley District website.
